The Role
Orbit has a fantastic opening for an Accounting Technician to join the Customer & Communities Finance Business Partnering Team in Coventry. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to enhance and develop a career in Housing and Finance.

The Customer & Communities Business Partnering Team is a vital, value adding part of Orbit Finance.  We use our business acumen and people skills to bring financial reports to life for the operational Business Partners. This allows the business to realise its potential and make its best business decisions.  
 
As an Accounting Technician you will be responsible for a number of key duties around managing data processing, implementing process improvements, reconciling accounts, assisting with compiling financial reports, maintaining the integrity of data, and providing information to support business decisions.
 
Maintaining relationships with customers is also an important part of the role, ensuring you provide on-going support and assistance and meeting their requirements.
 
About you
This role is suited to someone who can demonstrate good organisational and time management skills. A good understanding of double entry bookkeeping is vital as a well as the ability to work with initiative and minimal supervision. It is essential that you have good literacy and numeracy skills and have proven experience of Microsoft Excel.
 
Having the ability to work well in a team and problem solve is important. We are looking for a proactive individual who can prioritise tasks, manage work load and meet deadlines.
