This is an exciting opportunity to assist the Site Manager (on various sites) to ensure development is built to company standards using specified drawings, on programme and within budget.

You will be responsible and accountable for the supervision of all direct labour as necessary and coordinate activities of all the trades and disciplines involved on the site.  You must also ensure that all work is kept on programme and that all details as specified in the drawings and instructions are adhered to.  In conjunction with the Site Manager you will ensure Health and Safety requirements are adhered to and coordinate and control the sub-contractors on the site.
 
To be a strong applicant you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a construction trade.  This should include the supervision of tradesmen and subcontractors, scheduling and calling off material orders, programming of works, snagging of works and liaising with sales and purchasers.  A good knowledge of IT is essential.

You will also demonstrate good coordination, presentation and negotiation skills, excellent communication skills, and be able to work on your own initiative and adhere to deadlines, with the ability to deliver a consistent high quality service.

  • Management experience preferably gained through residential housing developments
  • CSCS card
  • First Aid
  • SMSTS
  • Able to take instruction from others
  • Able to demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to absorb and comprehend information from a number of sources and disciplines
  • Enthusiastic and committed team player with excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Good planning, organisational and negotiation skills
  • To work closely with the site team and other departments
