The Controls Engineer will ensure that Safety comes first in all Facilities efforts.
This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, design/implement/document control solutions for material handling systems, act as a liaison for internal and external resources, and be on call as needed. This position will also provide training to the Facility Technicians.

Responsibilities:
*Prepare specifications and technical detail to fully define performance on equipment, material and services
*Perform PLC control level issue diagnosis

*As a successful candidate, this is a superb opportunity for you to implement your skills while adding new ones working on PLC controlled material handling plant machinery such as robotic pick and place, pallets, conveyors, cranes and station devices.
*Ability for Troubleshooting under high pressure is essential
*Able to fault find on electrical/pneumatic systems and motor controllers/inverts
*Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings

Skills and knowledge:
*Control system working experience in PLC based controls design, development, implementation and support.
*ONC, OND, HNC, HND, DEGREE or a full engineering apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3
*Able to fault find on electrical/pneumatic systems and motor controllers/inverters

Desirable skills:
*An electrical or mechanical training degree or BS degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
*Experience in Siemens And/or Allen Bradley (A&B) PLC control level issue diagnosis.
*Microsoft Office, SolidWorks or Visio or AutoCAD work experience on control layout design and schematic.
