We are actively recruiting for a General Assistant to join our growing team at our scheme in Pitsea, Essex.
You will be responsible for day-to-day cleanliness and hygiene of the communal areas of the Grevatt Lodge scheme and assisting residents with their meals. You will provide a high quality, customer focused service and pick any extra tasks as required by the manager. You will be required to work within a scheme supporting older people, so will need to demonstrate a customer focused approach and be proficient in health and safety procedures.

Please be aware the main function of this role is to maintain a clean environment for the residents and to ensure cleanliness throughout the premises including the kitchen and communal areas.
The total number of hours for this post will be 8 hours per week. The hours will be divided into 2 shifts a week - Tuesdays and Fridays.

Please be advised that this is a fixed term contract until 01/06/2019

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience of working in a support function and have had exposure to working and supporting Older People with Physical Disabilities is preferred.
You will have experience of lone working and as part of a team and also have experience of working in an environment where you have needed to respond to crisis situations, experience of using own initiative to solve problems and reporting appropriately and in a timely manner to managers. You will possess basic IT skills and basic First Aid Skills.
