Are you a Finance Systems expert? Join us in our new and exciting Head of Finance Systems position.
Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) is one of London’s leading Housing Associations. We provide homes to around 170,000 people in some 55,000 properties across the capital and a further 9,000 in the south east of England.
Following the merger of Notting Hill Housing and Genesis Housing Association, we are excited about building on our rich joint history, establishing our long term plans as we work through our integration process.
As a larger organisation, we require a Head of Finance Systems to help make our vision a reality. You’ll report to the Financial Services Director and lead the Finance Systems team. Using your finance expertise and software knowledge you’ll be responsible for overseeing our primary accounting system, as well as our purchase order system and controlling the interfaces from other systems. You’ll have a solid understanding of the Sun systems landscape, and have significant experience of maintaining a robust control environment, to support our corporate strategic objectives. With oversight for all Finance Systems across the Group, we’ll quickly come to depend on your expertise in delivering projects, problem solving and advising the rest of the business on how to make the most of the systems.
We are an organisation with a turnover of about £700m, you’ll play a vital role in developing and delivering finance systems that supports the business needs. To do this you’ll need to already be an expert on Sun accounting systems, and possess a deep knowledge of the underlying architecture. You’ll be aware of how interfaces can be used to import information into Sun, and how to utilise Sun for financial reporting. We’ll expect you to have the ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels, particularly as we continue to integrate our businesses, people and processes. This is an exciting role offering you the opportunity to help shape the integrated systems we require as we grow into the future.
To do all of this well, we’ll ask you to have a deep knowledge of accounting, gained through either practical experience or a recognised Accounting qualification with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent body. Alongside your accounting knowledge, we will draw on your finance systems experience in a similar level of role overseeing Sun within a commercial professional environment. We are a complex business, so you’ll need to be adaptable and flexible, while we create a new organisation.
This is a role with a lot of responsibility; it’s a role that will give you the opportunity to establish yourself as a respected senior advisor in a large and complex organisation.
In return we offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave, health cash plan, season ticket loan, life assurance and a generous contributory pension offer as well as other benefits packages.
