About the role
We are currently recruiting for a full time, Leadership Analytics consultant position in our London office. The successful individual will report to a Senior Leadership Consultant. They will work alongside different members of the Leadership Lab across more than one project of work and collaborate with the Digital and Data Services team to access the data.
The core elements of the role are:
Collaborate with the Leadership Lab to design and co-lead on primary and secondary research to shape YSC’s POV, models and frameworks.
Develop and manage a rigorous approach to evaluating propositions and tools, recommending updates in line with this data.
Partnering with Head of Analytics and Psychometrician in our Digital & Data Services function on the predictive validity of proposed tools.
Ability to create a clear evidence-based narrative around the models and tools in the Leadership Lab.
Maintain a broad and up-to-date understanding of the market related to our Chapter areas.
Work with external partners, where appropriate, to undertake and validate research.
RESEARCHING & REFINING POINT OF VIEW, PROPOSITIONS, PRODUCTS & SERVICES
Partner with CCO and Solution Consultants to formulate an annual research strategy to inform roadmap priorities – long term objectives and short-term opportunities.
Conduct research programmes (primary and secondary research) to co-create YSC’s point of view around selected client needs.
Establish a research narrative that enables consultants and analysts to speak to YSC’s point of view on a topic or service.
Develop and manage a standard evaluation and validation approach for new products and services to review and refresh existing evaluation and validation methods – in partnership with DD&S.
Partner with client teams and DD&S to ensure related business performance measures are integrated into their client interventions, to aid the interpretation and publication of our impact.
Evaluate client needs and suggest improvements to existing products/services.
External market analysis and academic literature review, to form an external perspective on our opportunity to have impact and differentiate - and using insight this to keep propositions compelling, differentiated and relevant.
Keep abreast of research trends within the leadership development field.
Conduct proactive in=depth analysis and modelling to uncover new client insights.
CREATING THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
Work with Leadership Lab consultants to research and co-create new thinking to underpin new consulting frameworks or tools.
Build an understanding of the core client issues that we need to solve and frame the right research questions to evolve our thinking.
Identify and pursue opportunities to integrate research and thinking across different Chapter areas.
Co-design and validate leadership diagnostics, in partnership with DD&S to support consulting interventions.
Represent the Leadership Lab internally and externally, to increase the visibility and credibility of YSC as a thought leader.
DEVELOPING & MARKETING RESEARCH PROPOSITIONS
Identify and pursue opportunities to publish thought leadership and research findings externally in influential leadership journals and magazines in partnership with YSC Consulting’s PR firm.
Partner with Marketing and solution consultants to create internal and external collateral relating to the research findings.
Work with external partners (other consultancies; academic institutions; professional bodies etc.) to undertake mutually advantageous research as appropriate.
A dedicated interest in a career in Leadership/Organizational Consulting.
Strong organisational skills.
Strong data analysis skills: an ability to simplify and articulate complex data and passionate about the value of data analytics.
Ability to blend the organisation context with great psychological insights.
Must be a self-starter and forward thinker.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, relational and ambiguous environment.
An ability to talk to people at all levels of the business.
Graduate degree in Psychology (I/O, Business, or Clinical Psychology) or Business (Organizational Behavior/ Development, Management, Human Resources, Leadership) or equivalent levels of skill and knowledge.
Experience working within or partnering with large organisations.
Experience using evidence-based research within the field of leadership and the ability to carry this out independently.
Track record of generating insights that leads to new thinking, new products, or new tools.
Proficiency in statistics such as distributions, predictive modelling, data validation and statistical testing.
Advanced capability in technical platforms leveraged by YSC, including Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and proficiency with a data analytics platform such as R or Python.
