Notting Hill Genesis is recruiting for a Project Worker to join their supported living scheme located in Kings Lynn.
Notting Hill Genesis is one of the largest providers of housing related support to single homeless people within and around the Norfolk area. The aim of the services is to ensure our customers achieve their goals and aspirations through the support, encouragement and guidance of our staff.
Located at our Merchants Terrace Scheme in King’s Lynn, the primary focus of the Project Worker is to deliver person centred services and support clients in a range of areas, including finding employment, recovery from addiction, and building stability through a range of social activities. This scheme is an accommodation based environment supporting single homeless people who may have experienced drug, alcohol, substance misuse problems, and/or have varying support needs.
A successful outcome is achieved when our customers can move on to more suitable long-term accommodation, appropriate to their needs.
Our Project Workers are employed at two levels:
Entry level - Experience / knowledge associated with addiction, substance misuse and/ or homelessness would be a big advantage. We are also looking for inspirational people who will seize the potential of making a difference in people’s lives.
Salary offered for this level will be the lower end of £18,252 pro rata (part time £9,126 per annum)
Advanced level – Knowledge of Housing and of the range of benefits available are essential for a level 2 Project worker. You must also have 1 year+ experience working in similar supported accommodation settings with a proven track record that demonstrates both your skill and resilience in the role.
Salary offered for this level will be the higher end of £19,738 pro rata (part time £9,869 per annum)
All applicants must have strong written and verbal skills. Good IT skills are also essential as a large amount of work is done on the computer, including database management, e-mail communications and spread sheets.
Hours will be 19.5 a week and will be on a rota basis, typical weekday shifts are 7.30-3.30 or 12.30-8.30 and weekend shifts are 10.30-6.30.
