Notting Hill Genesis Housing is actively recruiting for an experienced Project Worker to join one of the homeless supported housing schemes located in Ipswich.
Notting Hill Genesis Housing Care & Support is one of the largest providers of housing related support to single homeless people within Suffolk. We have recently undergone an ambitious change programme within several of our schemes across the county. The aim of the new services is to ensure our customers achieve their goals and aspirations through the support, encouragement and guidance of our staff.
Located at our Cavendish Lodge scheme in Ipswich, the Project Worker will be responsible for delivering person-centred services. The Cavendish Lodge scheme is an accommodation based environment that supports single homeless people who may have experienced drug, alcohol, substance misuse problems, and/or have varying support needs.
The primary focus of our schemes is to support clients in a range of areas, including finding employment, recovery from addiction, and building stability through a range of social activities. A successful outcome is achieved when our customers can move on to more suitable long-term accommodation, appropriate to their needs.
Previous supported housing experience would be suitable for this role as you will be supporting single homeless people that can display challenging behavior. You will be required to lone work and use your own initiative which will need a strong willed and confident individual. We want to find motivational individual’s that have a genuine interest working with vulnerable people and delivering a person-centred service.
Housing and Benefits knowledge is preferable
Salary will depend on experience for the role
Hours will be 39 hours a week, over a rota basis. You will be required to work some weekends.
