Contract Type & Hours – Permanent. Part time, 17.5 hours per week
Salary - £23,130 - £25,700 per annum pro rata (based on a 35 hour week - FTE)

NHG’s Care and Support department deliver homes for thousands of people who face challenges in today’s housing climate. Our residents include people who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health needs as well as older people, and those who have experienced homelessness or struggle with managing issues like substance misuse and offending behaviour. We strive to ensure that, regardless of need, our residents can lead their lives at home with dignity, in safety and in control.
We are now recruiting to our key frontline Supported Housing Assistant role.
Our Supported Housing Assistants provide support to Supported Housing Officers who are responsible for 45+ residents. This role enables our frontline staff to spend more time engaging with their residents in a meaningful way. You will assist in the delivery of person-centred housing management and know that having a safe, secure home is fundamental to everyone’s wellbeing. Considering the needs of each resident, our Supported Housing Assistants endeavour to put them at the heart of everything we do.
You’ll be personally committed to delivering services of the highest quality and will help to ensure that our services are well-managed, with minimised voids, maximised income, and above all offer a positive environment for our residents.
You will be able to demonstrate your experience in either housing management or working with vulnerable people. If you have experience working with older people, perhaps as a support worker, we can give you the tools and training required for the housing management aspects of the role. This is a perfect first role in housing management; we are looking for people with the right set of skills regardless of their previous housing management experience.
This is a challenging and rewarding role. You’ll be adept at-risk management, have good judgement, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for excellent customer service.
