An ambitious service
Manchester is a vibrant diverse, cutting edge city. We believe the children of this city deserve the very best services and this is most important in terms of our social work services.
We are in a transformational phase and have big ambitions to be the best social work service in the region. We are investing heavily in our social work staff as we recognise they are key to ensuring great outcomes for vulnerable children in the city. We have full council backing with a significant £14 million investment to permanently increase our social work and Team Manager numbers so we can ensure we have small, well supported teams who will have the time to deliver the very best social work practice.
If you want to join a service that is really on the up and dedicated to improving practice then you should think seriously about joining Manchester. You will have time to do a great job, and opportunities to develop your leadership and practice skills. It really is an exciting time to join our leadership of the service.
Opportunities are available for Team Managers in Duty & Assessment, Child Protection/Children in Need and Children with Disabilities services in each of our Locality offices.
